The prospect of doing an exhibition all about the Welsh Landscape brought a shift in my thinking for my paintings. I ditched the oil paints and acrylics and worked with Quink ink, watercolours and Helen Melvin's natural dyes derived from her garden in North Wales. The results were great to do and I sold! Now working towards three exhibitions in 2016 - January at Clwyd Theatr Cymru, Mold, North Wales with the Cilcain Artisans, solo in February at Staacks in West Kirby, Wirral and March sees the Cilcain Artisans at a new medical centre in Llangollen.
Move forward to 2022 and coming out the other side of the pandemic which saw me saying goodbye to my classes for a while and sitting at home where i could work on some new ideas. The trees had always been popular, so as practice makes perfect, I hope I have honed my skills in this area. Bodnant Garden Gallery have been taken them for a while and since all restrictions are lifted and visitors have flooded back, I am happy to say they keep me busy! I have also invested in filling a glass case on the ground floor with my bone china mugs, coasters and paper art jewellery which got created during lock down.
